Maurizio Duka Moroni (Rome, 1966) is a composer, musician, producer, and sound engineer, founder of the Audiosfera studio and the record label exMachina Records (after the Zasko Lab experience) His career, which began in 1981, represents a unique bridge between avant-garde experimentation, classical musical expression, and technical rigor.

Known both professionally and personally as Duka, he has forged an artistic path in which technology is never an end in itself, but rather an extension of human thought and a means to explore the "perfect imperfection" of sound—an approach that translates into a discography characterized by extraordinary three-dimensional dynamics and a total rejection of lo-fi aesthetics.

The DUKA Project: The Evolution of the Concept

Under the moniker Duka, Maurizio produces highly conceptual works, conceived as sequences of brief sonic short stories with a cinematic structure.

• Origins and Experimentation: With Electropop (2016), he explores the more melodic and bright side of electronic music, while with 10 Minutes (2017) (composed between 2005 and 2006), he immerses himself in a pure study of noise generation and timbre possibilities.

• Perspectival and Technological Exploration: Alias Mundi (2018) challenges ordinary perception by seeking alternative viewpoints—an approach that evolves into Machines (2019), an inquiry into the soul and hidden spirituality of the machines that surround us.

• Time and Identity: Time Is Nobody’s Friend (2020) is a dark work that deconstructs the concept of time, followed by 40rty (2021), a diverse album celebrating his 40-year career through a blend of classic electronic, ambient, and progressive influences.

• Introspection and Nature: I Can See Around Corners (2022) represents his most acoustic and personal moment, tied to human hopes and fears. Idrologia Tribale (2023), on the other hand, uses water as a symbol to explore sonic fluidity through Italian titles and lively rhythms.

• The Latest Frontiers: With Modulator (2023), he analyzes human behavior and the organic nature of sound, while In Principio Et Nunc Et Semper (2024) reflects on personal faith with a pulsing, urban rock soul.

This journey culminates in Life on Saturn’s Third Ring (2025), a quest for an almost impossible serenity, suspended between the longing for an alternative existence and the reclamation of personal agency.

It is an evolution that finds its natural fulfillment in his next two albums, A Silence to Share and Truth Isn’t Out There, both released in 2026.

In these latest works, the focus shifts inward in search of peace, elevating silence from a mere absence of noise to a true "remedy" and sanctuary against the anxieties of the contemporary world, while exposing the distortions of truth in modern society. They are works that invite listeners to rediscover authentic connection and swiftly reconnect with their deepest self.

THE SILENT SENDERS: Rock of the Imagination

Born from his experience as a rock producer, this project fuses electronic manipulation with Mediterranean atmospheres.

• Sonic Narratives: From the debut The Silent Senders (2002), centered on the concept of "transmission," to Haven’t You Heard? (2005), characterized by three-dimensional sonic collages.

• Literature and Music: My Life As Minimalist (2010) is the soundtrack to a short story written by Maurizio, which chronicles the adventures of Minimalist the puppy in a challenging world, caught between abandonment and redemption.

• Struggle and Inadequacy: A More Perfect You (2012) explores the inability to feel comfortable within everyday standards, while Boxing (2013) serves as a metaphor for the human struggle against one's own weaknesses.

• Final Visions: Alle Gegen Alle (2016) explores the desire for collective self-destruction through dark, orchestral tones, leading up to The Goose Little Anthology (2022)—TSS’s 20th-anniversary album—which celebrates the project's musical maturity through the interplay between Paolo Caucci's guitars and Duka's massive sonic architectures.

•  Introspezione e Natura: "I Can See Around Corners" (2022) rappresenta il momento più acustico e personale, legato a speranze e paure umane.

THE SILENT SENDERS: Il Rock dell'Immaginario

• Narrazioni Sonore: Dal debutto "The Silent Senders" (2002) sul concetto di "invio", a "Haven’t You Heard?"
