Listening to “Truth Isn’t Out There”:

"Truth Isn't Out There" comes from the need to say "enough is enough": truth "out there" doesn't exist anymore—we've just been fed a bunch of lies and engineered doubts.

Nowadays, newspapers and TV don't inform anyone anymore; they only care about money and politics, using the news to control us. Not to mention social media, which has turned into a toxic arena full of people passing random judgment.

Now AI is in the mix too, making it super easy to manipulate things and making us too lazy to even think for ourselves. We just swallow whatever we're handed without asking a single question.

In the end, searching for the truth today is almost an act of rebellion that leaves you feeling isolated. That's exactly what my music is for: to turn off all the noise out there and help us get back in touch with our own minds.

01 The Truth Wasn't Out There, Orfeo:

The track that opens this new album is called 'The Truth Wasn't Out There, Orfeo'. It comes from a deep, bitter reflection on the pointlessness of war—a tragic, worn-out tool that humanity stubbornly keeps using.

This song means the world to me. I dedicated it to the memory of my uncle, Orfeo Moroni, a Lieutenant in the 124th Infantry Regiment and recipient of the Silver Medal for Military Valor, who fell in WWI back in August 1916. One hundred and ten years ago, Orfeo volunteered to serve. He wasn't just looking for glory or doing his duty for his country—he wanted to prove to the parents of the woman he loved that he was worthy of her, standing up to their refusal to let them marry.

There's this incredible, heartbreaking irony when you look at the classical myth of Orpheus, who goes down into the Underworld to save his beloved Eurydice, driven by ultimate love. My uncle Orfeo went into the real hell of World War I driven by that exact same love. But unlike the myth, for him, the truth and salvation weren't down there.

Orfeo never came back from that front. He was killed on the Karst Plateau in Doberdò, leading his men in yet another tragic charge out of the trenches, struck down by an Austrian machine gun and bleeding to death. And she, crushed by an unbearable grief once she got the news, chose to let herself die shortly after. 'Things from another time,' you might say. And yeah, they really were.

With my music, I wanted to give a voice to the silence that fell over that double love—for her and for his country. Deep down, I felt this overwhelming need to tell this story, to stop Orfeo's memory and his love from being swallowed up by the noise of history.

Musically, I tried to paint a picture of what those days felt like. I tried to tap into what I imagine Orfeo went through: the nerve-wracking wait in the trench, hour after hour, right up to the moment he had to lead his men out over the top, knowing it could be his last.

And alongside the fear, that constant thought of his country and his woman.

The track starts out quietly, almost like a breath or a whisper, before swelling into a deep, lyrical theme. I deliberately pushed for that contrast to highlight the massive gap between the purity of love and ideals, and the mindless brutality of war.

I have to admit, this track moves me every single time I listen to it.

I hope with all my heart that it touches something deep inside you, too.

02 Last Grey Rainbow Over Thessaloniki:

I’d love to tell you the story behind one of the most "easy listening" tracks on this album: "Last Grey Rainbow Over Thessaloniki".

It all started as a bit of a "mathematical" challenge I threw at AI. My request was as simple as it was bizarre: generate a track title by combining a generic adjective, a color, a noun, and a European location. When it came back with this "last grey rainbow over Thessaloniki," I immediately knew the game was on.

I decided to set this surreal idea to music using the AI’s own logic—acting like a collector of fragments, dipping into that rich "primordial soup" of styles, genres, and influences that make up my musical universe.

That’s exactly why the track plays out like a true sonic mosaic. You’ll find rock elements, disco vibes, orchestral sections, electronic touches, hints of the blues, and ambient moments—all blended together in a pretty daring attempt to make it feel organic and cohesive.

It was a constant balancing act between worlds that, on paper, have no business being together.

The most surprising part, though? The experiment actually worked. The final result is a track that—according to those who’ve already had a sneak peek—flows surprisingly well and is genuinely easy on the ears.

Maybe that’s the secret right there: even though the starting point was an algorithm's suggestion, I’m not an AI. I put in the sensitivity, the taste, years of hands-on experience, and that spark of soul needed to tie everything together and turn scattered chaos into an actual piece of music.

I hope this trip through my personal “last grey rainbow" sparks your curiosity and, above all, that you enjoy it—and maybe find yourself as pleasantly surprised by it as I was while making it.

03 I Wish:

“I Wish” is a track born from a deep state of mind—a feeling I believe many of you will relate to.

Every day, as we follow world news, we find ourselves continuously bombarded by an endless stream of negative events, tension, and heartbreak that inevitably weigh heavily on our spirits.

While composing this piece, I felt a profound need to react, to use music as a way to stand up against all this creeping negativity. I began imagining a different reality: all the things I wish could happen instead, and how our daily lives—and the world as a whole—might transform if we simply made more room for beauty, empathy, and hope.

Musically, “I Wish” opens as a very sweet and delicate track, formatted as an intimate reflection. However, within the arrangement, I wanted to weave in a unique sound element: rhythmic background vocals.

To me, they represent the voice of the subconscious—that subtle surge of bright ideas and beautiful thoughts that surface spontaneously from within, almost as a gentle reminder that positivity is still inside us, waiting to be heard.

And then comes the finale, where the music undergoes a true transformation: the soundscape suddenly opens up into a radiant explosion of hope and vibrant energy. It is an almost cathartic, liberating moment—as if, through these notes, I were encouraging myself and the listener to actively choose the light, to refuse resignation, and to keep believing in a brighter tomorrow.

I truly hope that “I Wish” offers you not only a peaceful break from the noise, but also a genuine burst of optimism and warmth.

04 Your F*ing Fakes 4 Real:

Here is a track with a unapologetically direct and provocative title: “Your F*ing Fakes 4 Real”.

This piece was born out of a visceral, overwhelming, and utterly unbearable sense of frustration. I am deeply convinced that we have reached a genuine social and cultural crisis: the sheer amount of bullshit, lies, and subtle manipulation fed to us daily as indisputable truth has crossed every line.

It's a massive heap of emotional garbage that systematically preys on people's vulnerabilities and fears, sowing toxic confusion and causing us to lose our compass for what is real and what isn't.

Confronted with this grotesque spectacle, I felt the compelling need to hit back the only way I know how: through my music, railing full-force against this circus of fakery.

Musically speaking, I feel the track packs a serious punch—a driving, relentless energy that hooks you right from the very first beat.

But my absolute favorite section is the finale: the track sheds its skin, expanding into an atmosphere that is both epic and deeply lyrical.

It’s an emotional climax that I intentionally stretched out, letting it breathe far longer than traditional, unwritten rules of songwriting might dictate.

To be completely honest with you: every now and then, I just love indulging in my own playing, getting completely lost in the notes, and letting the music flow for as long as I feel like it, free from formulas or time limits.

I truly hope this drive, this raw anger, and this liberating positive energy hit you loud and clear!

05 West-Made East:

The concept behind this track comes from reflecting on what strikes me as a major paradox of our time: the deep Westernization of the East.

For decades, we grew up with a belief that felt rock-solid—a kind of 'established truth'—that East Asian countries were merely places for cheap manufacturing, the home of commercial goods that copied Western ones.

Today, that supposed truth has actually flipped on its head. It’s no longer just about goods or factories; it’s about lifestyle. In the East, people are increasingly chasing and adopting a Western mindset, consumer culture, and way of living.

And that’s precisely why this track carries such a deep meaning within 'Truth Isn’t Out There': it’s proof of how even our most deeply rooted geographical and cultural certainties end up crumbling when faced with reality.

Musically speaking, I wanted to capture this cultural short-circuit by bringing together two seemingly distant worlds.

The track is rich in traditional Eastern sounds and instruments, but it rests on a strictly European backbone—a perfect example being the choice of the piano, which leads and carries the main melody.

I think the dialogue between these instruments turned out very naturally, creating a serious, almost melancholic atmosphere that mirrors the weight and depth of this shift.

06 Truth, Under Control:

The reason behind making this track stems from a bitter realization and a genuine wake-up call.

I wanted to shine a light on the systematic control that supranational organizations and entities exert over the news and information that certain compliant media outlets pump out every single day.

It’s a top-down manipulation designed to steer global economies and financial markets, often at the expense of the safety—not just financial—of unsuspecting everyday people.

Musically speaking, it’s a high-energy, driving track, very much in the same vein as the other track on the album, 'Your F*ing Fakes 4 Real'.

The choice of sounds and their instrumental performance in the arrangement give it a distinctly epic tone.

A couple of technical notes: through its relentless rhythm, I wanted to recreate the mechanical sound of printing presses running non-stop—the news machine working overtime to pump out 'information' that’s been carefully shaped and steered by higher financial interests.

And I’d also like to highlight the synth solo at the end, which emerges like a solitary voice cutting through the noise of engineered news—a cry of protest trying to break through the narrative and speak the truth.

07 You Got Me!:

“You Got Me!” is without a doubt the brightest, most upbeat, and carefree track on the entire album.

The whole piece was conceived as a lighthearted divertissement centered on a universal truth: sooner or later, every single one of us falls for it.

We naively buy into the latest bullshit or piece of misinformation pushed by someone, only to be left completely speechless when the truth comes to light and reveals it for what it always was—a cleverly constructed lie.

Now, if this happens among friends over a laugh, that’s totally fine, it’s all in good fun.

The real issue arises when this exact same dynamic plays out in far more     serious contexts, where the consequences of gullibility can cause genuine damage.

From a musical and structural standpoint, this is one of the rare tracks in my entire discography to feature background vocals singing actual lyrics.

However, the vocals aren't used in a conventional lead sense; I approached the choirs as a distinct sonic layer, designed to add color, texture, and extra vibe to the arrangement.

Musically, the track leans heavily into a Rhythm ’n’ Blues territory, driven by a rich Hammond organ, a biting Clavinet, an unmistakably funky rhythm guitar, and a tight brass section.

It’s a blast to play, and I think it makes for a thoroughly engaging yet easy-going listen.

08 The Weight of My Patience:

"The Weight of My Patience" stems from a deep, subtle kind of exhaustion—that mental (and sometimes physical) fatigue that comes from feeling like we no longer have an inner space to truly call our own.

We’re plugged in 24/7: WhatsApp, Messenger, Telegram, and a million other digital gadgets keep us constantly available for work, family, and the nonstop news cycle.

On paper, we're close to everything, but in reality, we're losing touch with our world. It’s a slow bleed—like water torture—gradually draining our peace of mind and chipping away at our calm, forcing us to put on a brave face until patience stops being a virtue and turns into a burden to carry.

Musically, the track has a deeply lyrical feel, wrapped in a haze of melancholy and quiet resignation.

To give voice to all of this, the arrangement centers around two key elements: the lead vocal and the cello. In their timbral dialogue—warm, intimate, and heartbreaking all at once—I found the best way to describe that sense of isolation and weary fatigue that words alone just couldn't express.

You could almost call it a sonic portrait of someone taking a step back, looking around, and finally realizing the sheer weight of their patience.

09 How Many Seconds To Midnight?:

Here’s how “How Many Seconds To Midnight?” came to life.

The title is no coincidence: it takes its name from the Doomsday Clock, the famous clock that symbolically measures how many seconds separate us from the end of the world. And today, more than ever, the hands have never been this close to midnight.

To convey this tension, I wanted to create an almost cinematic, at times raw atmosphere. The track opens with fictional radio chatter — frequency transmissions between Russian soldiers and American soldiers — to make us immediately feel that agonizing sense of uncertainty we're forced to live with every day, completely helpless.

Then a driving rhythm kicks in, a true countdown, led by a deeply melancholic and sad melody highlighted by the cello, with a distinctly European flavor. I wanted that contrast: military urgency on one side, and the fragility of the human soul on the other.

The way I used rhythmic voices in the arrangement is meant to evoke how this entire situation is being handled — with that rigid, cold, and marching cadence typical of the military world, a mindset that inevitably leads to dehumanization.

Near the end, after the final radio command cuts off, the music seems to step back in time: we hear an orchestra picking up that very same melody, but as if we were listening through an old tube radio, crackling and distant... until the transmission abruptly cuts out.

All that's left is static noise.

    The void.

“How Many Seconds To Midnight?” isn't just a song; it’s a sonic snapshot of what we are — more or less consciously — living through. It’s my way of turning today’s anxiety into music, hoping that final static remains just a warning, and not a prophecy.

10 Just Close Your Eyes And Count To Three:

As anyone who’s been following me for a while knows, I love including at least one track in my projects that stands out by exploring warmer, more ethnic, and folkloric sounds and arrangements.

With this track, I wanted to create a genuine oasis of 'final decompression'     for the whole album.

I pictured that moment of the day when - after being constantly bombarded with bad news, endless bullshit, daily tasks, and general chaos - you escape into a cozy little live club to find some peace with good friends.

To capture that exact vibe, I built an acoustic live club atmosphere completely from scratch in the studio, tweaking every single acoustic detail, right down to the warmth of the crowd clapping along to the beat.

The track has a distinct Latin American feel, led by smooth, elegant percussion. Don't expect a wild or overwhelming tropical rhythm, though: the BPMs are deliberately laid-back and easygoing - just right for unwinding, unplugging, and tapping your foot along without any rush.

The real highlight, though - and something I’m deeply attached to - is the 'presence' of the musical conductor. As a kid, I was completely obsessed with Pérez Prado’s 45s: I’d put them on my portable record player and play them until they wore out, totally fascinated by how he led his orchestra, his famous rhythmic stops, and those unmistakable vocal grunts.

At one point while writing the track, I thought to myself: why not have my virtual band conducted by my childhood idol?

    So, said and done.

With a little bit of 'electronic magic,' we put Pérez Prado’s voice right there, leading the musicians. Bringing in his signature calls and breaks wasn't just a stylistic choice; it was a warm, affectionate tribute that brings a deeply personal, nostalgic touch I truly treasure.

At the very end of the track, the guiding voice - who knows, maybe it’s Pérez himself? - leaves us with a simple yet deep invitation: with all the noise and madness around us every day, the best thing to do is just pause, close your eyes, and count to three before moving forward.

I truly hope this journey brings you a moment of pure serenity.

Guida all’ascolto di “Truth Isn’t Out There”:

Ci prendiamo tutto pronto senza farci mezza domanda.

01 The Truth Wasn't Out There, Orfeo:

Il brano di apertura dell’album si intitola 'The Truth Wasn't Out There, Orfeo'.

02 Last Grey Rainbow Over Thessaloniki:

Last Grey Rainbow Over Thessaloniki".

03 I Wish:

04 Your F*ing Fakes 4 Real:

05 West-Made East:

06 Truth, Under Control:

07 You Got Me!:

“You Got Me!”

08 The Weight of My Patience:

09 How Many Seconds To Midnight?:

Ecco come nasce “How Many Seconds To Midnight?”.

10 Just Close Your Eyes And Count To Three:
