Cosa è “Still Music”
Da tempo avevo in mente un progetto musicale piuttosto originale.
Di norma, a un musicista viene chiesto di comporre musica a partire da immagini, che siano in movimento o fisse. Ma cosa succederebbe se a un fotografo venisse chiesto di “fotografare” un brano musicale?
Nel corso degli anni ho provato a contattare diversi fotografi per rendere concreta questa mia idea, ma senza successo.
Così ho deciso di mettermi nei panni di un fotografo: una volta composti i vari brani, ho “fotografato” la musica selezionando dal web le immagini che, nella mia mente, si sposavano meglio con ciascuna traccia.
Il risultato è appunto “Still Music” ed attraverso gli appositi pulsanti è possibile “ascoltare” le 25 immagini e “osservare” gli altrettanti brani scritti per ciascuna di esse.
Questo lavoro non è mai stato pubblicato sotto forma di album ufficiale: si esplora esclusivamente attraverso il mio sito ufficiale.

What is “Still Music”
For a long time, I had a rather unique musical project in mind.
Usually, a musician is asked to compose music for images, whether moving or static. But what if a photographer were asked to “photograph” a piece of music?
Over the years, I tried reaching out to several photographers to bring this idea to life, but without success.
So I decided to step into the photographer’s shoes myself. Once the music was composed, I “photographed” it by carefully selecting images from the web that, in my mind, best resonated with each track.
The outcome is “Still Music” and using the interactive buttons, you can “listen to” the 25 images and “observe” the corresponding 25 pieces created for them.
This work was never released as an official album; it can be experienced and enjoyed exclusively through my official website.
